Choir

Hello.  My name is Trina Waid and I teach music enrichment.  I have always had a love for music and, while growing up, was always involved with music.  From different choirs to band, music has always played an important role in my life.  I grew up in Center Point, Alabama and attended Erwin High School.  Throughout my junior high and high school days my life revolved around band.  My senior year in high school I tried out for and received a band scholarship to Jacksonville State University.  This is where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Music Education.

This is my nineteenth year to teach here in Odenville.  I taught at the high school level for the first four years of my career and this is my fifteenth year at the middle school level.  I enjoyed teaching high school students, but I absolutely love teaching middle school. As a teacher I feel honored to get to work with middle school students on a daily basis. There is never a dull moment in a middle school classroom. NEVER........

Much of my time outside of school is spent with my children. I am the mom of two fabulous kids!  My son is fourteen and loves to play ALL sports.  My daughter is ten years old and loves to sing, play piano, and dabble with her arts and crafts.  When I do have free time I love to read, cook, and take walks (very relaxing). I also love to play guitar. One of my personal goals is to practice to become more efficient with this skill.
